Niagara Falls…part 2

Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States.

From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls.

The Horseshoe Falls lie mostly on the Canadian side and the American Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island.

With a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m) Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate.

More than six million cubic feet (168,000 m3) of water falls over the crest line every minute in high flow.

I still remember the first time Nour and I visited the falls back in 2002, it was breathtaking and left me in awe and wonder then and every time since then the same feelings apply, totally amazing, so powerful and majestic, maybe why it is known as the honeymoon capital of the world!

Across the way you can see the American falls and not sure if you can make out but there is a new view point that is being created on the American side.

The Maid of the Mist, a real treat if you have time

The bridge takes you to and from Canada and is accessible by vehicle and walking.  The Maid of the Mist is a thrilling experience if you have time.

The rest of the photos and videos need no explanation, I am sure you will agree!
