Chinatown, Downtown Toronto

After a lovely cultural visit to Kensington Market, we walked towards Chinatown.  It is quite an unbelievable place, you basically enter an area that engages your senses, wakes up the wonder in you, informs your brain that knowing Chinese at this moment maybe a very good and beneficial thing to know, especially if you are like me and like to haggle now and again!

As you walk through, I could not believe how much construction and new development was going on, I mean, to an average person, it leaves you thinking, where on earth is the space to build more, but trust me, there really is, they find it and they build and build, even in the smallest of places.

Ok, so let me just make clear, I don’t normally take photos of random people, but this guy was way to cool, to be ignored, I just had to capture this trendy looking dude, and on top of that, he is watching some programme on a TV…on the street!

Now if you are from Cornwall in the UK, you may say that there are a few letters missing from the word below at the top of the building…so here are a couple of questions:

  1. Do you know what the letters are and what the word is?
  2. What is the link between this word and Cornwall/being Cornish/living in Cornwall?

I love the dragon pillar road car stop, definitely adds to the feeling and culture of the area, I cannot wait to visit during the Chinese New Year, this year will be the Year of the Monkey, I think it will be spectacular.

As we reached the end of Chinatown,  we came across this talented pair, cool looking, snazzily skillful and the girls absolutely loved them.

A short video here of these guys in action, we all really enjoyed listening to them, unfortunately, we did not stay too long in Chinatown, we are hoping to come again where we will have more photos and maybe some videos to with you all, enjoy for now…
